Overcoming Disabilites

I am at a disadvantage to blog about the movie "Chocolate" because I missed the first half of the movie. I really did not understand the movie nor do I care for martial art films. The only thing I got out of the movie was that a person can over come any disability. In fact I have a friend who's daughter was diagnosed with Autism when she was little. She is now 16 yrs old and you would never know she was Autistic unless you were told.

I think the new way they diagnose children at a very young age with autism, so they can begin treatment and help them work through it, is just beginning to show results like this. In the past, so many of these children were misdiagnosed, so they never got the help they needed.

I did like how simple things in life like candy helped very much in the long run.

I asgree with you glenn. Most of autistic kids dont get the proper help which causes them to do bad in life. But the new test tell you before and sometimes shortly after you child is born. So that you have the chance to learn about it and learn how to work and treat your child. So it gives them a better chance to learn in survive in everyday life.

I can't imagine knowing and going through the emtional side of a personl experience with autism. It has to be hard, and knowing that someone can overcome such harsh cards dealt is amazing in itself.
