Technology

http://www.blogherald.com/2008/11/04/exploring-social-media-series/

After reading this article it made me start to think about how much our society has been effected from technology. How if we think back to when people had "party lines" were people would share a phone with a couple of families. How it has to changed to majoirty of peope walking around with cell phones as if they are a nessicity to life. What the future brings is very unpridictable based on how much will change. No one knows how much more technology will change our future.

The changes from say, five years ago to today are incredible! 10 years, 15 years, 20 years ago there was no internet. 25 years ago there were very few home computers in very few homes, & they cost a fortune! cell phones have certainly hit many people, with diehard luddites insisting they'd never carry one of those odious machines, scoffing at the self-importance of people who felt they needed instant communication wherever they went! "that's not like in the old days, when people weren't so addicted to these techie doodads!"

I found this article intersting. It is amazing how far technology has come over the last 25 years. We have become very dependent on technology. I wonder if technology is going to far! I found this article about a family in Florida, getting a Verichip implannted into there skin so they can be tracked for security. Some implant have a tracking device. All personal info will be on this Verichip. you just swipe a scanner and all your info is there......Some are concerned that this will be mandatory....Can you imagine?...I feel it would be an invasion of privacy. Amazing how far technology has come isn't it! A bit scary in some ways....How far is too far.

Technology has definately hit the the high end of the scale these days. Now days younger kids have cell phones, computers and tvs dvd players all the "doodads" as stated in another comment that they didnt have back then. Some people been broken down by the pressures of technology. Some people are still in the olden days where they dont have a tv, cell phone, computer. Somedays I wish that I didnt have most of the thins that I have because of the hassle.

Technology to me is very insane. I can barely figure out how to blog! Just imagine what is probably being kept as "top secret" information. Like those two-million dollar fighter jets that our government was hiding from us for years. I can believe that it was for our own good, national security wise. In this article though, it goes to show that we (The United States) are spoiled, fat a**ed, welfare recipients. A lot of countries, particularly the middle east, despise us. They despise us because of what we represent and how superficial we are. Do we have technological advancements to thank for that? I believe so, and we keep making more innovations, putting more and more people out of work and on welfare. Sorry everyone, but ultimately i think that we suck!

Technology has changed incredibly over the years. It's absolutely crazy. Pretty soon we're going to be driving around in huver cars. Haha. But I think that if technology was ever taken away from us we would all be screwed because each of us depend on it so much, it's kinda pathetic. We are all to lazy to do it by ourselves so we rely on other things to do it for us.
