Sorry Guys Continued-

I have no idea how to really do this, so just bear with me- I think I will just retype what I wrote in the comments: Although the writer of this essay, Samantha Sumampong was just 17 years old at the time she wrote it, I feel that she did and excellent job collaborating and understanding just what the original writers were trying to point out.

  1. I like the essay that you chose. It was pretty funny at the one part where the girl was talking about how Maude and Harold had had intercourse. I agree with her that at first I didn't have a huge problem with the age difference, but once they hinted at that part it made me pretty uneasy. I agree that for a young girl she was a pretty mature writer.

  2. I like this essay. I agree with the author that the age difference was no big deal. I was a little upset when people in the class freaked out when they got married and what not. "Do what makes you happy." I believe this statement applies to this movie. They were in love and just because there was a significant age difference I don't think it should have stopped them from being together. Love is love. The girl was pretty mature for being a seventeen year old writer.
