Arizona Weighs Bill to Allow Guns on Campuses

After reading this article, I as a student was amazed that they could actually pass a bill to have firearms carried on you even in schools. While reading this article I got that since there are alot more violence on campuses and well pretty much anywhere anymore. So with passing this bill it could be very helpful for the people that do get mugged or violated at any point to protect themselves. In my eyes, police are not always there when you need them and or show up after it is already to late. So you as a victim there should be something out there for everyone to be able to protect themselves, instead of having to wait for the police to show. I agree with Fred Boice, president of the Arizona Board of Regents, when his father he stated not to carry a gun unless you plan on killing somebody. And that is kind of true only if there is violence against you. Like only if you were being raped or someone is holding you at gunpoint you can protect yourself by pulling your own firearm out on the perpetrador. If this bill can be passed on the west coast why can't it be passed on east coast? There is just as much, if not more, violence there then anywheres.
