The gun issue can be blamed on many situations, but the bottom line comes down to how the guns are not controlled. When you have an open door policy on something that should have a little more control. The difference of being able to have slingshots compared to multi rapid fire weapons. When there is no limit on how much or what kind, then common sense leaves the door open for more violent acts. Blame can be said on the American view. We value the opinion of war and the effects on our own country. We look at being the strongest nation and are proud of having the rights of our country. When we bring a gun to a knife fight it is supposed to be overlooked because of our belief, but when somebody else does this, it is not right and we have to take action to change the situation. This is the action we have done for years.
Other countries have more strict laws and more control over media. Their media is more focused on things that will help the public and public interest rather then public fault or discouragement. When media is constantly broadcasting bad views, it tends to wear on the mind or warp it in a sense of believing what we do is right. An example in the movie was how it was not ok to shoot another person, but it was ok that we just bombed another country. It is like the old saying from your parents" Do what I say, not as I do."

I thought the Kmart part of the movie was a joke. The fact that they made the statement was a total PR stunt and no real concern to public safety. Whether bullets were actually pulled off the shelves I do not know. They are there now though. I personally do not think superstores are the right place to sell guns or bullets the employees are not trained enough to sell or regulate them.
They stated they would just remove handgun and assault gun ammo, right?
The hypocrisy of making armaments designed to kill hundreds or thousands of people, launched from many miles away, while expressing bafflement over individuals shooting people, seems to show a vast distance between reality and the idealism of politicians and NRA supporters. The attacks that blew up a kindergarten and aspirin factory, killing many more innocent people that same day, seem to be "just fine" to the same people who are disgusted with the school killings. One thing that looks the most suspicious is how huge military suppliers, like Lockheed-Martin, get to run welfare programs. These probably cost taxpayers more money than just giving a check to the poor, and cost parents time with their children, just perpetuating the same disadvantages for these kids in the future. Let's blame the poor for being poor. It's like Bush feeling superior for being born rich, when his family only got rich by wheeling & dealing with the nazis in Germany, and by robbing taxpayer money to suck up oil & pollute the planet, converting human lives into dollars or deutschmarks.
i personaly hav never had much trust in what the media portrays to us on an evrday basis, the media(t.v.,radio, internet, newspapers) has only one interest and that is to promote the overall agenda of the new world order(nwo). the media was bought,sold and corrupted a long time ago for the purpose of properganda and spreading fear. the media chooses to focus on what they consider to be important and by using that tactic most americans ignor the true more life threating issues that effect or will effect our well being and freedom. this year alone 70,000 new laws have been passed without any of then even being covered by the mass media that directly effect every human being in america. one of these laws caused a man to be imprisoned for 1 1/2 in federal prison for selling a particular plant that was nor poisionous nor indangered in any way but apprently he didnt have the correct lawful paperwork stating he could. how in the world would you know that? you wouldnt and thats newa if you ask me, but i guess lindsey lohan going to jail is much more important than our life,liberty and justice for all.

Guns = America
Last week we watch a real powerful movie call Bowling for Columbine. This movie shows how Michael Moore travels around the U.S.A trying to find out why America has the worst crime rate in the world. We double or even triple other countries in crime and death. Through the movie you can see why. Guns are so easy to buy! Children have easy access to guns to since so many parents carry guns in their house hole to protect themselves from murders, criminals, and other things the media put into their mine. So you end up with a cycle. The father sees nothing but crime and violence in the news or on TV. Now he is very worry about his family and home. So he goes out and by a gun to protect himself and his family, be feels a little safer but does he? In this mine he needs two more guns just to be on the safe side. Now he is protected from the enemy outside, but what happen to his son, people are bullying him and making fun of him at school and his father is not around to talk to him because he just joined the gun club to learn how to protect his family more. What do think will happen next? Well the son learns how to deal with the bullies by himself or will he take his father gun and show the bully who is boss.
This idea off protection comes from fear. Fear is never good; it makes people do crazy things in order to protect themselves. The movie showed that, many America are afraid of other people that they don’t know, and many live in fear which lead them to own so many guns. One way to stop this Is to cut back on the amount of negative news, add more positive thing we could be doing, in Canada they can enjoy hunting, hanging and spending time with families. One of the main reason we have violence is due to TV and news media and the lack of parents getting involve with their children lives.
