I was really happy when i heard that Obama had won the election. The fact that this election was the biggest election in history means alot. After reading an article about Obame keeping his promise to cut taxes, I remembered that i had heard that he had wanted to increase taxes. Is this true? Taxes are already high enough. Our economy sucks as it is right now. If he doesn't cut taxes, what do you think people are going to think? Will they think we have an unfaithful president or will he cut taxes and fulfill his promise? I guess we will just have to wait and see.

This tax idea was a promise to assist families with income brackets of less than $200,000. The big flap in the campaign thing about taxes when the so-called "joe the plumber" asked Obama if his business, which he figured would bring in $250,000 a year, would have a tax increase. It would. So this guy, who doesn't actually have that business, & isn't even a fully certified plumber, & has a pretty shady past:

as things have gone the past eight or so years, huge tax breaks have gone to huge companies, so these companies could have more profits, getting rich people richer.

when gas prices soared, for instance, the gas companies were making bigger profits than ever!

then again, taxes make it possible for us to have things like schools,

roads, police, and, lest we forget, BOMBS. some people only pay the amount that doesn't go to military spending, as a form of protest! Henry David Thoreau famously refused to pay his tax because he disagreed with the US involvement in an the unjust Mexican War, & went to jail for it. He wrote his famous essay, "Civil Disobedience," which Gandhi read, & acted upon, & Martin Luther King, Jr. acted upon in peacefully working to bring about justice & change.
I agree, I was really happy to hear Obama was elected. I feel that he is going to bring change and that is just what our country needs. I think he will follow through with his word on cutting taxes with out any question.
YEAH OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
